1969 - African-American artists Christine Baker, Sadie Graham, Lester Johnson, James King, James Lee, Charles McGee, Harold Neal, George Rogers, Bob Stull and Shirley Woodson opened an Art Gallery and Academy in Detroit, Michigan: 8232 W. Six Mile Road.
